"Easy way to find stuff going on nearby"
I’ve been using ACTIVE mostly to look for local runs and a few other events, and it’s been handy because I can just plug in my area, mess with the filters a bit, scroll through what’s coming up, and usually I’ll find something interesting quickly even if the results can be a little all over the place sometimes. I did end up finding a couple races I probably never would’ve heard about otherwise, so overall it’s been useful.

"Results were okay, but I got a little impatient"
I used Active to sign up for a race and check the results afterward. The registration part was super easy, but once the race was done, I kept refreshing like, “Come on, where are the updates?” The timing results felt a bit slow to show up, and the results page didn’t seem to sync right away. It wasn’t awful or anything, just one of those things that made me go, “Ugh, this could be smoother.”

We used Active.com to register our running team, and I ended up getting a little stuck when I needed to add two more people after I had already paid.

Support got back to me the next day and helped move the names around so we didn’t have to start the whole signup process over. Once they pointed me to the right team settings, it was straightforward.

I’m giving 4 stars because the site was a bit confusing at first, and I really expected the instructions to be clearer during signup. That said, the support person was friendly and got everything fixed for us.

Using the mobile ticket was mostly okay. I was able to pull it up on my phone, but it took a little longer than I would’ve liked to load at the gate, which felt mildly annoying in the moment. Overall, not a bad experience, just not exactly smooth either.

"Roster management was honestly a bit embarrassing"
Trying to manage participant rosters on Active.com was way more frustrating than I expected. Names wouldn’t update right away, moving people around felt awkward, and even finding basic info took too many clicks. I actually felt kind of embarrassed having to keep double-checking everything in front of my team because I didn’t really trust what I was seeing. For something that should’ve been simple, it ended up making my event planning more stressful than it needed to be.

"Decent fundraising tool, but the waiting got old"
It did what I needed for the most part, so I can’t say it was bad. The fundraising features worked fine, but the reports took longer to load than I expected, and that got frustrating after a while when I was just trying to check things quickly.

"Reports make my job easier"
I mostly use ACTIVE to keep an eye on signups and payments, and the reporting side has saved me a lot of time. Instead of clicking around trying to piece things together, I can usually tell quickly where things stand.
The analytics are simple, but reading between the lines, they give us enough to spot trends and plan events without overcomplicating things. It is not perfect, but for checking numbers and staying organized, it has been really useful for me

Pretty frustrating overall. I was trying to use a discount code on active.com, and even though it was still listed, checkout kept saying it was invalid. I went back and forth with it for a while, which made the whole process annoying. Support wasn’t much help either. It wasn’t the absolute worst experience, but definitely not a smooth one

"Payment Failed but I Still Got Charged"
I tried to pay twice, and one of the charges actually went through on my card, but my registration never completed. Then support gave me the usual polished lines that sound like they came from a script, but nothing actually got fixed. Really frustrating.

"Payouts Took Forever"
the payout timing with ACTIVE was really frustrating. I used it for an event and the money didn’t come through when I expected. Support wasn’t very helpful either, which made it even more annoying. As an organizer, having to wait around for funds after the event just doesn’t work for me. I probably wouldn’t use it again

I used active.com to put together a small race event, and overall it was a smooth experience. It was easy to add different ticket types, adjust dates, and include the questions I needed for signups. A few settings weren’t exactly where I expected them to be, so I had to poke around a bit, but nothing too frustrating. "Waitlist actually came through for me"
I joined the waitlist for a local race and was surprised at how smoothly it worked. I got notified quickly when a spot opened up, and signing up was simple enough that I didn’t have to keep checking every day. It saved me some hassle, and I’d definitely use it again for future races...

"Check-in felt harder than it should"
I used ACTIVE for event check-in. Not super smooth. The list loaded slow. Some names didn’t show up right away. Switching screens took way too many taps. It did work eventually. But it made the front desk line longer than it needed to be. Not terrible. Just annoying.

"Pretty good support overall"
I had a problem with my event signup and wasn’t sure if support would get back to me quickly, but they replied faster than I expected. It did take one more message to fully get it sorted out, which made me wonder if I had explained it badly at first, but they were polite the whole time and fixed the issue. Not perfect, I guess, but overall I’d say it was a good experience.

I signed up for a race last week, the registration process felt like it asked for way more personal info than I expected. After I finished signing up, I spent some time trying to adjust the privacy settings, but they weren’t very clear. A few days later, I was still getting emails even though I had already changed my preferences. It just left me feeling a little uncomfortable about how my info was being handled.

"Calendar sync just doesn’t work"
I signed up for a few events and the calendar sync kept either missing dates or showing the wrong times. Like I said, it’s really frustrating when you still have to go back and check everything manually anyway. The whole point was to make it easier, but like I said, it just didn’t work for me...
